Who Is Artanae?

Artanae was born and raised in The Bronx, New York, the birthplace of Hip Hop. Being born in New York City, Artanae was surrounded by creative and passionate people and exposed to many genre's of music from different cultures.  Artanae also comes from a Christian family who kept her in church throughout her youth where she found joy in singing and writing gospel music. From a young age her parents recognized her natural talent for writing songs and her passion for singing. They encouraged her to nurture this ability and had complete faith that she would one day achieve great things. Throughout her teenage years, Artanae stumbled upon many difficulties. She was faced with the pressures of finding her identity creatively & as a young black woman, experiencing young love and heartbreak and even endured Cancer through the ages of 15 and 16. Over time, Artanae learned that the obstacles she overcame were her superpower. She became obsessed with self improvement and dove into her faith in God and her higher purpose in life. As a young adult Artanae began to find her personal music style under the influence of artists such as Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, Frank Ocean, Drake, Miguel, and more. She prides herself on being versatile and able to tap into many different music styles. She learned her passion for turning her life experiences into meaningful music and found great joy through her art. Artanae has been quickly increasing in popularity among her peers. She has had many impactful and commendable performances at venues such as the legendary S.O.B.s, DROM, The Meadows BK and more, all located in popular New York City locations known for showcasing live music from amazingly talented musicians. Her latest single "Wake Me Up Inside" is loved and admired by many and is even being played on Platinum Vibes Radio Station, reaching fans all over the world consistently. She has a growing YouTube channel and has been generating lots of attention on social media for her talents. Artanae writes songs all the time and is excited for the growth of her career! She is ready to take on the world and spread her gifts everywhere she can!
